Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.

The role assures that translational & precision medicine milestones and principles are implemented into the clinical development plans
The role leads translational & precision medicine studies within development programs incorporating quality, pharmacodynamics, bioinformatics, and bioanalytical analyses
The role acts as the resident translational medicine expert within GRD Clinical Development for specific disease indications, building the GRD Clinical Development competencies, relative to all medical/scientific aspects and acting as clinical interface with the preclinical experts/representatives to steer translational medicine science across the R&D
5+ years of experience in industry are required, specifically in clinical development, translational research or related fields
Relevant experience in clinical or academic research in rare diseases and/or advanced therapeutics will be considered a plus
MD or equivalent with experience in clinical research or PhD in biomedical science are required
PharmD or Master’s Degree, with long-standing, relevant experience to the role, may be considered as well
