Job summary

Vix Technology is seeking a Project Engineer to support customer projects across our transport and ticketing portfolio in the UK. The role suits experienced Field Service/Installation/Technical Support engineers moving into project delivery.

You will plan, coordinate, and manage deployments with stakeholders, ensuring smooth and safe deliveries. Key activities include site readiness, equipment coordination, and technical problem solving across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as a field engineer, installation or service engineer.
• Strong knowledge of hardware installations and deployments.
• Experience conducting site surveys or technical assessments.
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and travel to sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in planning and execution of customer projects.
• Coordinate technical activities throughout project delivery.
• Develop deployment, installation, and commissioning plans.
• Monitor progress and identify risks, issues, dependencies.
• Produce site surveys and readiness reports.
• Act as a technical contact during deployment.
• Maintain project records and documentation.
• Support customer acceptance and project closure.
