Job description

Ready to Lead a Transformation That Actually Means Something?

Step into a high-impact role where you’ll shape a multi-year organisational overhaul from the ground up. If you thrive in complexity, love bringing order to ambiguity, and want your work to leave a lasting legacy, this one’s for you.

Drive a strategically critical transformation—before, during and after a major consultancy partner comes onboard.

What You’ll Do

Build the early transformation roadmap by turning a Target Operating Model into a clear, prioritised sequence of deliverable projects.

Lead early-stage transformation activity, shaping workstreams, preparing the organisation for change and keeping momentum high.

Drive multi-year initiatives across people, process, tech and commercial landscapes.

Provide sharp commercial oversight of third-party work, SOWs and deliverables.

Influence senior stakeholders, communicate with clarity and hold the room—internally and externally.

Steer governance, alignment and decision‑making across cross‑functional teams.

Matrix‑manage analysts and contributors, with the potential to lead a larger team as the transformation scales.

What You Bring

A proven track record in large-scale transformation or long‑term change programmes.

Strength in structuring ambiguity and building frameworks from scratch.

Strong commercial acumen and experience working with (and challenging) large consultancies / SI partners.

Confidence navigating sensitive commercial trade‑offs.

Gravitas, communication skills and stakeholder influence at senior / exec level.

Experience with TOMs, capability models or business architecture.

Comfort blending methodologies—Agile, Waterfall or hybrid.

Nice to Have

Utilities experience (not essential).

Background in operating model transitions or major organisational redesign.

Role: Transformation Project Manager

Location: West Midlands (Hybrid)

Hybrid, with regular on‑site collaboration. You’ll need to be within comfortable commuting distance of Solihull and happy to attend the office at short notice when needed.
