Petersfield / Hybrid Remote Working
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Transformation and Strategic Lead to help shape our organisation’s future and ensure that our ambitions are translated into practical, measurable results. This is a high-profile opportunity to work across the organisation, providing strategic insight, leading complex programmes of change and building the capacity needed to deliver excellent services in a changing public-sector landscape.
Working closely with senior leaders, elected members, partners and colleagues, you will connect strategy, transformation and performance. You will bring clarity to complex challenges, support evidence-based decision-making and create the conditions for sustainable organisational change. Your portfolio will span corporate strategy, service transformation, programme governance, organisational improvement and partnership working, as well as local government reorganisation.
Devolution continues to be central to the UK’s current governance reforms transferring powers from central government to local and regional bodies, enabling them to shape policies on transport, housing, and economic development.
Maintaining and improving services is the key priority for East Hampshire District Council and we have an ambitious transformation programme that delivers real change for residents and businesses. The Hampshire decision on Local Government Reorganisation has been withdrawn and is due to be remade in early 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at this crucial time of change across the local government landscape.
In return for your valued contribution, we can offer you a competitive benefits package which includes training and development opportunities, generous annual leave and flexi time, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and more.
