Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Transformation and Commissioning Officer to join the Children’s Strategy, Transformation and Commissioning team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will shape child-centred services across early help, social care, education and health, supporting projects through the full commissioning cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting projects, commissioning activity or service transformation.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and support decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to produce clear reports and briefings.
• Confident relationship-building and influencing across teams, organisations and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support small to medium-sized projects within wider transformation programmes.
• Contribute across the commissioning cycle: needs analysis, market research, procurement, mobilisation, contract monitoring and service review.
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative information to produce clear reports and recommendations.
• Build relationships with internal teams, providers and partners across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector.
• Coordinate co-production and engagement so voices of children, young people and families inform design.
• Monitor contracts, provider performance, risks and actions to ensure value for money.
