Job summary

Place2Be is a charity providing safe spaces in schools for children and young people to access mental health support. This role involves Level 4 qualified therapy and one-to-one sessions with young people, integrated with school communities to promote early intervention and wellbeing.

You will deliver clinical assessments and interventions, adapt sessions to meet individual needs, and support families while working across two sites in Wandsworth (Tooting and Battersea).

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in counselling/therapy relevant to children and young people.
• Experience delivering one-to-one counselling with young people in educational or community settings.
• Ability to engage with school communities to promote understanding of child mental health.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical assessments and short- or long-term interventions for pupils.
• Provide flexible, child-centred sessions (including walk-and-talk or activity-based approaches) as required by the setting.
• Support families and carers to improve wellbeing and resilience.
• Work across two school sites (Tooting and Battersea) with regular travel between locations.
