Job summary

Grant Thornton (UK) is seeking a Transfer Pricing expert to deliver client work, advise on TP policies, and prepare master/ local files and CbC reporting. You will conduct benchmarking analyses and support cross-border engagements with senior colleagues across the network.

You’ll contribute to proposals, share knowledge, and develop junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring timely delivery of outputs. Flexible working options may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience of transfer pricing work in a professional services firm or in-house tax team.
• Working knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and UK transfer pricing rules.
• Experience of preparing transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking analyses.
• Experience of reviewing the work of others.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client work on transfer pricing engagements.
• Advise clients on transfer pricing policies for goods, services, financing and intellectual property.
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation (master files, local files, country-by-country reporting).
• Carry out benchmarking studies and economic analyses; draft and review intercompany agreements.
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues; lead project work and manage workloads.

• Deliver client work
• Advise clients on transfer pricing policies for goods, services, financing and intellectual property
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files and country-by-country reporting
• Carry out and review benchmarking studies and economic analyses
• Draft and review intercompany agreements
• Support clients through tax authority enquiries and, where relevant, advance pricing agreements
• Keep up to date with changes in UK and international transfer pricing rules, and explain what they mean for clients
• Lead and develop others
• Plan and co-ordinate your own workload and that of junior colleagues
• Review work prepared by associates and give clear, constructive feedback
• Coach and mentor colleagues to help them grow
• Work with clients and colleagues
• Build strong relationships with client finance and tax teams
• Work with colleagues in other tax specialisms and with Grant Thornton member firms around the world on cross-border projects
• Keep work on track against timescales and budgets, and raise issues early

Requirements

• Experience of transfer pricing work in a professional services firm or in-house tax team
• Working knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and UK transfer pricing rules
• Experience of preparing transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking analyses
• Experience of reviewing the work of others
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for explaining technical issues clearly
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once
• A proactive approach and a willingness to get stuck in

Nice to have

• A relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT, or a degree in economics, finance or a related subject
• Experience of working with international colleagues on cross-border projects
• Experience of supporting proposals or pitches
