Overview

Element Recruitment is pleased to be working with a fast-growing SME based in Central London, entering an exciting phase of expansion. With strong leadership and a collaborative culture, we’re now looking for a talented Transactional Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations and help drive best practices across their finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, growing business environment and wants to make a genuine impact.

You will be reporting into the Financial Controller, you’ll lead and oversee all transactional finance activities - ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in their finance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a small transactional finance team (AP, AR, and cash management).
  • Oversee daily cashflow management, reconciliations, and payment runs.
  • Take ownership of accounts payable, receivable, and credit control processes.
  • Ensure timely month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Support the Financial Controller with audits, budgets, and forecasting cycles.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
About You

You’ll be a proactive and commercially minded finance professional with a strong background in transactional finance management.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing AP/AR teams within an SME or fast-paced business.
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems (Xero, Netsuite, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process excellence.
  • Confident communicator with leadership experience and a hands-on approach.
  • Ideally part-qualified or qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) – though experience is key.
