Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking professional HGV drivers for its Widnes-based transport team. You will play a key role in delivering chemicals and ingredients safely to customers, while handling diverse shifts, overtime, and night-out payments as needed.

Ideal candidates hold ADR and Driver CPC, are UK residents with the right to work, and share a strong commitment to safety and customer service in a fast-moving distribution environment.

Qualifications

• ADR licence and Driver CPC are required.
• UK resident with the right to work in the UK is essential.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and professional driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers at sites to provide first-class service.
• Ensure safe delivery of products across the network.
• Follow all safety processes, procedures and legislation.
• Prioritise and relay customer feedback to internal teams.
• Perform specialist deliveries using high-spec vehicles as required.

We're on the lookout for HGV tramping drivers (ideally with ADR) to step into our driving roles to help keep our business moving and our retail customers happy to ensure the chemicals and ingredients used in everyday products, get safely to our customers, helping keep our communities healthy, fed, clean and safe. We offer different levels of role depending on preference, the more flexibility, the higher salary potential with overtime and night out payments on top. Level 3 – Class 1 artic and class 2 driving with Low Pressure Discharge deliveries - £40,051.56 per annum + quarterly performance-based bonus of £2,100 + overnight subsistence allowance and overtime If you think you have what it takes, join our Transport team based at Widnes. Our trucks are all DAF fully automatic vehicles and benefit from everything you need whilst you’re out on the road. They are fitted with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, air-conditioning, fridges and a whole host of latest safety technology to aid you in your day, with a new rigid fleet on order for 2027 and tractor units replaced every 4 years. You will have a dedicated vehicle but may be requested to driver other vehicles as and when required.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Communicating with our customers at their sites and providing a first-class service
• Ensuring the safe delivery of products to customers across the Univar Solutions Network
• Complying with all safety processes, procedures, and legislation.
• Understanding, prioritising, and escalating our customers' feedback and requests to our internal teams
• Completing specialist ‘Pump Over’ deliveries using our high specification vehicles to pump product directly into customers tanks (Category C roles only)

We Are Looking For

• True professional drivers to deliver high standards of service and efficient driving to achieve our compliance and safety targets
• A UK resident and currently living in the UK, with the right to work in the UK (offer of employment is subject to satisfactory proof of this)
• Hold an ADR licence and Driver CPC (A training agreement can be put into place for the successful candidates who do not hold one currently)
• Care deeply about delivering a world class service
• Serious about safety and follow safety procedures
• Comfortable using and iPhone and mobile apps
