The Opportunity

We are working with a leading international construction company to recruit an experienced Training Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who is passionate about workforce development and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping training strategy on a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive training framework to meet organisational and project needs.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and design targeted learning solutions.
  • Oversee technical, compliance, and professional development programmes across diverse teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, and operational managers to ensure training supports workforce capability and succession planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead and mentor training coordinators and facilitators, fostering a culture of learning.
  • Manage relationships with external training providers and accrediting bodies.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in a Training Manager or Learning & Development leadership role, ideally within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning principles, and competency frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective training solutions in complex, high‑risk environments.
  • Familiarity with UK construction sector regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Professional qualifications in Learning & Development, HR, or a related discipline (CIPD or equivalent desirable).
