Training Coordinator – Electrical

Location: Tresham College – Corby Campus

Salary/Benefits: £29,870 – £39,696 (pro rata) per annum, 27 days annual leave, bank holidays, pension, discounts, professional development, college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 22.2 hours per week – 3 days a week, flexible.

Contract Type: Permanent – Part Time

Right to Work: UK only, no sponsorship, must evidence Right to Work.

About the role

We are seeking a Training Coordinator in Electrical to join our Apprenticeships department at The Bedford College Group.

Responsibilities
  • Overall Responsibilities – coordinate training for work‑based provision; deliver and assess knowledge and competence; update tracking systems; maintain relationships with employers and tutors.
  • Main Duties – induct, assess, and support learners; deliver sector‑based training; conduct workplace assessments; provide feedback; set SMART targets; maintain accurate records; liaise with employers; participate in quality assurance; engage in team development; prepare for inspections; understand funding; complete learning plans; follow disciplinary procedures; liaise with support teams; maintain confidentiality; deliver information; refer business leads.
  • Statutory Duties – promote safeguarding; promote equality and diversity; follow health and safety requirements; participate in training and development.
About you
  • Qualifications – Level 3 or above in sector specialism; TAQA Level 3 and Level 4 certificates; GCSE English and Maths; Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
  • Experience – Working in relevant sectors; assessing NVQ Level 3 work; high performance in previous roles; working with diverse backgrounds; promoting equality and diversity.
  • Skills – Confident use of IT; effective training delivery; robust feedback; support learners; maintain rapport; prioritise workload; work under pressure; build relationships; high‑quality learner experience; promote College's reputation.
