Job Description

Technical Consultant – Location: Uxbridge / Hybrid (ideally 3-4 days per week in the office). Background: IT Support/Engineering, Infrastructure, Pre‑Sales, Technical Solutions. Industry: Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Lucid Connect is recruiting a Technical Solutions Consultant in the Managed Services Cloud space to consult with clients around technology needs, quotes, bids and advisory, bridging the gap between sales and technical teams, by understanding client needs, helping to design solutions, supporting the sales process, ultimately ensuring successful private and hybrid Cloud deployments and managed services implementations. This role represents an opportunity to transition into a Pre‑Sales Consultant and subsequently into a Solution Architect role with a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients around technology needs, quotes, bids and advisory.
• Bridge the gap between sales and technical teams.
• Design solutions and support the sales process to ensure successful private and hybrid Cloud and managed services implementations.
• Support (or lead where possible) the design and implementation of solutions in Microsoft 365 & Azure, on‑prem and hybrid infrastructure, and networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, support, sales) to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Produce high‑quality documentation including solution designs, implementation plans, and client reports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong technical background with expertise in cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, endpoint management, and IT infrastructure.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are a plus.
• Proficiency with Azure, Intune, O365, Sentinel, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and modern workplace solutions (Intune, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience working in Managed Service Provider environments and with Microsoft technologies (M365, Azure, Windows Server).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to build trusted relationships with clients.
