A leading defense contractor in Glasgow seeks an experienced Learning and Development professional to design and deliver innovative training for complex warships and combat systems. Job description
What you’ll be doing:
  • Design & develop innovative training focused on the skills, knowledge & experience essential for design, manufacture & integration of complex warships & combat systems.
  • Facilitate & deliver learning in both live and virtual classroom environments.
  • Research, write and deliver complex Case Studies based on real‑life events within Naval Ships.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to identify priority training needs and signpost appropriate solutions.
  • Support the creation of an Applied Shipbuilding Body of Knowledge, presenting complex information on products, processes and ways of working in an accessible and useful way.
  • Help Naval Ships manage niche and critical skills, knowledge and experience by designing & delivering effective Knowledge Management strategies.
Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Extensive training design, development & delivery experience.
  • A recognised learning and development qualification (PGDE, PGCE, CIPD or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • A passion for developing people in a learning environment.

Desirable:

  • Ability to find creative solutions to a range of problems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/construction context.
