A leading defense contractor in Glasgow is seeking a Training & Professional Development Practitioner to design and deliver innovative training for complex warships. The role offers a competitive salary up to £46,000 depending on experience, with hybrid working arrangements available. Salary: Up to £46,000 depending on skills and experience. This role is a fixed term contract until 22nd October 2027
Design & develop innovative training, focussed on the skills, knowledge & experience that are most important to design, manufacture & integrate complex warships & combat systems
Facilitate & deliver learning and training in both live and virtual classroom environments
Research, write and deliver interesting & complex Case Studies based on real-life events within Naval Ships
Collaborate with Functional teams to identify priority training needs, and signpost appropriate solutions
Support the creation of an Applied Shipbuilding Body of Knowledge, presenting complex and important information on our products, processes and ways of working in an accessible and useful way
Help Naval Ships manage niche and critical skills, knowledge and experience by designing & delivering effective Knowledge Management strategies
Extensive training design, development & delivery experience
A recognised learning and development qualification (such as PGDE, PGCE, CIPD, or equivalent)
Excellent communication & presentation skills
A passion for developing people in a learning environment
Ability to find creative solutions to a range of problems
Experience working in a manufacturing / construction context
