We are currently seeking a creative, engaging and dedicated individual to join our team as a Training Advisor – Childcare. Pathways to Progression was established 3 years ago, based on a growing awareness that vocational education is more than just delivering qualifications to young people. The team is built up of individuals who have significant experience and expertise in their vocational areas. This experience and expertise allows them to deliver more than just a vocational qualification. It allows them to deliver expert advice and guidance on pathways into their industries and the career opportunities that young people may not be aware of. Industry focused practical activities enhance learner engagement while preparing young people for careers in their chosen sector, equipping them with the skills needed to develop strong CVs. Training Advisors further support this by embedding employability skills throughout our vocational courses, helping learners build confidence, professionalism and workplace readiness. The team currently deliver courses at Key Stage 4 across all schools in Neath Port Talbot.
As a Training Advisor – Childcare, you will be delivering vocationally based courses throughout NPT schools at Key Stage 4. These courses will help to inspire learners in choosing future career pathways and to help them understand the career opportunities that exist for them when they leave school. You will be responsible for shaping the childcare qualification to meet the standards set by Agored Cymru. You will also be delivering on some units of the Travel and Tourism course.
You will deliver courses within schools and will be expected to work closely with school leads to ensure that learners needs are met during delivery of their qualifications. You will also be inspiring our learners, giving details of working in the vocational sector and/or bringing in speakers or visits to enhance classroom teaching.
