Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd. in Stoney Stanton is seeking a Trainee Vessel Inspector to join our engineering team. This hands-on role offers a clear training pathway in vessel inspection, safety compliance, and LPG gas systems, with a structured three-year programme and pay progression.

You will inspect vessels, check for leaks, manage gas charging and de‑gas, and record movements in SAP or similar. The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a supportive team and benefits including private

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working with gas systems.
• Good computer and administrative skills; record keeping is key.
• Strong focus on health & safety and attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete a structured training programme.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and refurbished LPG vessels for quality and safety.
• Check vessels for leaks and ensure safety devices are operational.
• Oversee gas charging and de-gassing in line with procedures.
• Record vessel movements using SAP or similar systems.
• Support yard operations and maintain high housekeeping standards.
