What will you do?
Are you passionate about technology and eager to build a career in technical support? We’re looking for a Trainee Technical Support Assistant to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience while receiving full training and mentorship.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their journey in technology whether you're a school leaver, career changer, or simply someone with a strong interest in solving technical problems.
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused
Trainee Technical Support Assistant to provide first line technical assistance to our customers. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective solutions.
- Support field technicians and partners during installations and maintenance.
- Participate in training sessions and stay current on product updates and technologies.
- Monitor support requests and RMAs through our ticketing system.
- Process service related paperwork for returned goods.
- Goods preparation, learning how to program product.
- Logging in goods which have been returned for service work.
After training you will be able to;- Use knowledge and experience to troubleshoot customers operational and maintenance issues via phone, email and using remote tools for deister’s software and hardware systems.
- Correctly record all technical queries and communications to allow all departments to review the current situation and the answers provided to the customers.
- Identifies and define opportunities for development of products and services provided by the company.
- Conduct product testing and provide feedback to improve quality and usability.
- Support the sales team as the technical support during sales calls and provide product. demonstrations.
- Assist customers with product setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Some things about you- Have a love of technology.
- Hobbies include programming 3D CAD design, 3D printing or electronics.
- Ability in using hand tools, power tools, and a voltmeter.
- Hand soldering skills.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, networking protocols, IP addresses, Ports, etc.
- Working knowledge of SQL database management.
Essential- Educated to BTEC, A Level or equivalent.
- Analytical problem solving skills.
- Excellent written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
- Be a problem solver, and not afraid to use new ideas, initiatives and challenge our processes.
Good with detail and able to see tasks through to completion swiftly and effectively. - Comfortable working in a highly collaborative team where mutual support and shared success is valued.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Full UK driving license.
