Job summary

Vision for Education is launching a National Teaching Assistant Programme across the Midlands to provide paid on‑the‑job experience and high‑quality training. You will be placed in a school to develop your skills, with support from a dedicated consultant and the option to work in primary, secondary or SEND provisions.

Prior to placement you will complete a training programme with Vision for Education and school leaders to gain the essential skills needed as a Teaching Assistant, while

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people or adults with SEND is ideal.
  • Passion and drive to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Willingness to complete required training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher with managing behaviour and interventions.
  • Provide support to children with SEND and aid progress tracking.
  • Record and report pupil progress and behaviour to teachers and mentors.
