Vision for Education has an opening for a Trainee Teaching Assistant (Primary SEN) in Willingdon. The role offers weekly pay (£463–£500) depending on experience and qualifications, with November 2026 start on a temp-to-perm basis.

You will gain valuable experience in schools supporting students with SEN and may assist in playground duties and clubs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students grow, work well in a team, stay patient, and be available during school hours

Qualifications

• Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
• Have the right to work within the UK.
• Be committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
• Assist in whole group interventions.

Roles within schools will vary from supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis to whole group intervention. You may be required to assist in the playground on duties throughout the day and help with the running of breakfast/after school clubs.

The ideal Trainee Teaching Assistant will have;

• A true passion for helping students grow, learn and develop their education
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• A patient and level-headed approach to dynamic situations
• The ability to work during school hours (08:30 - 15:30) times can vary depending on the school

Requirements
