Job summary

GLF Teacher Training in West Sussex is inviting aspiring teachers to join a Trainee Teacher Programme. You’ll gain hands-on experience across nurseries, primary and secondary schools within our Trust, with routes from employment-based to fee-funded options.

The role emphasizes supportive training, workload management, and professional growth. You’ll need a UK degree (2:2 or above), English/Math/Science at grade C/4 or better for primary routes, and rights to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances)
• Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for Primary routes only
• Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years.
• For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required, as you will be teaching from day one of the course, and you will need a school to offer an employment contract.
• If you have overseas qualifications but the right to work in the UK, we will need a statement of comparability for your qualifications.
• For stage 2 of the application process, you will need to complete a DfE application form to train to teach, meet all criteria for entry into Initial Teacher Training and undertake an interview.
