Job description

Trainee Teacher Maths (2 X Posts Bridgwater & Strode Colleges)

We are looking to support the successful candidate to begin their teaching career by offering full sponsorship to gain a Level 5 teacher training qualification and a reduced teaching load for the two year contract.

Previous teaching or training experience is not required. The successful candidate will be mentored by our experienced curriculum delivery teams and benefit from extensive teaching/lecturing experience to eventually become a fully developed teacher.

The post of Trainee Teacher contributes to the positive work of the College in raising aspirations of students, delivering an outstanding learning experience and developing the standards and teaching and learning.

Teacher Training Section

The Teacher Training Section is a small part of the College, but it extends across all curriculum areas. The Section includes a small number of full-time and part-time teaching staff who contribute to the teaching qualifications delivered by the College Group. Teaching qualification delivered by the College include:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training
• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
• Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
