Aureus School and GLF Oxford/Reading Teacher Training Hub in Didcot offer a Trainee Teacher Programme with both fee-funded and employment-based routes. Trainees have a main placement at Aureus School and a shorter 4–6 week placement, supported by experienced GLF mentors.

The programme provides locally delivered training, strong well-being support, and clear pathways to Early Career Teacher status.

Qualifications

• A degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised equivalent qualification.
• For Secondary courses at least 50% of your degree will be in the subject you wish to teach.
• A Degree 2:2 or above (may accept a 3rd class or ordinary degree in particular circumstances).
• Grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, and Science for routes only.
• Demonstrate you hold the right to work and study in the UK and have been a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years.
• For employment-based training routes, classroom teaching experience will be required.
• If you have overseas qualifications but the right to work in the UK, we will need a statement of comparability.
