NY Highways is seeking a motivated Trainee Supervisor to join our Highways Operations team in North Yorkshire. You will support operational activities across capital schemes, general maintenance, winter works and drainage, while developing leadership skills and progressing through a structured career grade.
The role offers hands-on supervision, collaboration with contractors and stakeholders, and funded training to help you progress from Grade 6 to Grade 7 as your knowledge grows.

You'll work alongside experienced Supervisors and Senior Supervisors, gaining valuable hands-on experience and responsibility while developing the skills needed to progress within the role.
Experience within highways, construction, civil engineering or a related industry would be beneficial, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with transferable supervisory experience who are looking for a new challenge.
This role forms part of a structured career grade pathway, providing opportunities to develop your technical expertise, leadership capability and industry qualifications. You'll receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to undertake relevant training, including winter service and highways-related qualifications, helping you progress from Grade 6 to Grade 7 as your knowledge and experience grow.
