Main duties of the job

As part of your role, you will carry out clinical scientific and technical duties in the diagnostic laboratory. You’ll have the opportunity to perform a wide range of both simple and complex tests that assist in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of a range of illnesses. Your main responsibilities will include undertaking laboratory investigations and assessments of results, preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments, and maintaining and progressing quality and training initiatives. Enhanced pay is also available through participation in the weekend working and out‑of‑hours rota, following training and competencies.
