Lightfoots Solicitors, based in Thame, is offering a paralegal position with a clear path to a September 2027 Training Contract in Banking & Finance litigation. You will gain early exposure to disputes and work with partners from day one, with a framework to progress to Trainee Solicitor under SQE2.

This role suits driven individuals with a solid academic record and practical litigation experience seeking to become solicitors in a specialised, reputable firm.

Qualifications

• SQE1 already passed at the point of application.
• A genuine interest in litigation, and specifically in banking and finance disputes. Tell us why in your application.
• A strong academic record.
• Prior experience in Litigation as a paralegal (minimum 1 year).
• Exposure to banking, finance or financial services, whether legal or commercial.

Responsibilities

• From your first week you will work alongside partners, solicitors and the team of paralegals on banking and finance disputes.
• Hands-on practical training from the outset and supervision by experienced solicitors as you progress to Trainee Solicitor.
• You will be supported by a structured training plan aimed at qualifying as a Litigation solicitor within Lightfoots.
