Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd in Leeds Middleton is offering a 18-month Trainee Shop Manager training programme. You will start on a salary of £32,648.16 with a potential rise to £35,306.88 after six months, working 45 hours across five days a week and advancing toward a Level 4 Retail Manager apprenticeship with Inspiro.

The role provides structured coaching from an experienced shop manager, hands-on shop leadership, and progression to full store responsibility on successful completion.

Qualifications

• Experienced team leader or supervisor in retail or customer-focused industries.
• Motivated to progress into a management role.
• Willingness to travel between sites to support other shops would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Be fully accountable for your shop and ensure customers are looked after and routines are completed.
• Motivate and guide your team to be successful and efficient.
• Lead by example and handle day-to-day tasks in a busy shop.
• Control key costs including payroll, shrinkage and waste.
• Meet standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.
• Take responsibility for recruitment, training and development of your team.
• Complete Basic DBS or Disclosure checks if hired.
