Company - Designer and Manufacturer | Job Title - Field Service Technician | Location - Essex and Kent | Salary - Circa £27k per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Field Service Technician to join a leading Designer and Manufacturer with Head Offices in the Dartford area. If you are looking for an opportunity that allows you to be on the road, work autonomously and solve complex problems, then this is the job for you.

The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all service-related tasks, including maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting. You must be a self-starter with a passion for problem solving, and you should have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to maintain and update your own van stock. Comfort with using a tablet for job reporting is required. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and driving service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Be the primary point of contact for all service-related tasks, including maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update van stock and use a tablet for job reporting.
  • Work autonomously on the road to resolve customer issues, contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with other technicians as needed to support field operations.
Qualifications
  • Field Service experience within a mechanical-electrical environment is preferable.
  • IT skills with proficiency in mobile device/tablet use.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to support other technicians in the field.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers.
  • Full UK Driving License.
