Job summary

Listers Group is seeking motivated individuals to join its Service Advisor team as part of a Trainee Recruitment Day. You will receive an induction and training to become a successful Service Advisor across our Dealerships in the UK.

Starting salary £28,000–£32,000 with a monthly bonus; OTE up to £36,000. Typical hours are 08:00–18:00 Mon–Fri with Saturday mornings on a rota basis. Great benefits include pension, wellness programme and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to meet targets and contribute to upselling services.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Book customer vehicles in for maintenance or repairs and liaise with the workshop to schedule workload.
• Meet customers on arrival and provide a seamless drop-off to handover experience.
• Update customers on progress and obtain authorisation for additional work with follow-up calls.
• Liaise with Workshop, Parts and Sales to ensure vehicles are ready on time.

We are currently selecting suitable applicants to attend a Trainee Service Advisor Recruitment Day which will be held locally on Thursday 1st October 2026.

We are looking to recruit motivated, keen and smart individuals to be our Service Advisors of the future for our Dealerships.

We aren’t looking for the finished article as we will in turn offer a comprehensive induction and training programme, together with all of the help and support you need to become a successful Service Advisor with the Listers Group.

Salaries vary between £28,000 - £32,000 plus monthly bonus, OTE up to £36,000

Hours of work also vary depending on the centre you work at, but are typically 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday & working Saturday morning on a rota basis.

Role and Responsibilities

When customers bring their vehicles in to one of our Dealerships for service, MOT or repair, their first point of contact will be one of our Service Advisors. We require driven and motivated individuals who have the ability to lead their customers and manage expectations.

You will be well versed in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction in a very busy and demanding environment. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring the workflow of the department, hitting and exceeding targets and up selling our full range of services.

• Booking customer vehicles in for maintenance and/or repairs, and liaising with the workshop team to schedule the workload
• Meeting customers on arrival and providing them with a seamless service, from drop off to vehicle handover.
• Updating customers with progress on their vehicle, as well as authorising additional work and making follow-up calls.
• Liaising with the Workshop, Parts and Sales department to ensure customers vehicles are ready on time.

About You

• You will have the passion to deliver an excellent customer service experience and the ability to quickly establish and build rapport with our customers
• A well-presented individual with a desire, attitude and character to succeed
• Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally working to key targets to deliver customer satisfaction and sales objectives
• You will have good organisation and administrative skills, knowledge of dealer management systems would be an advantage but is not essential.
• A full UK drivers licence is required
