Trainee Sensory & Communication Support Assistant – Full Time – Sunderland

This full-time trainee position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, teamwork, and supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs.

You’ll be joining a specialist setting where every child’s learning pathway is personalised, routines are clear, and the staff team are incredibly supportive.

Your role will include:

  • Helping pupils use visual supports, schedules, and communication tools
  • Encouraging emotional regulation through sensory activities
  • Supporting calm transitions throughout the day
  • Building strong, trusting relationships

You’ll suit this role if you:

  • Have experience in care, youth work, sports coaching, nursery, or similar
