Job description

Wanted – graduates with a passion for healthcare.

Do you take pride in making a difference? Do you want to be part of a global market research team delivering scientifically-grounded, powerful insights to pharmaceutical and healthcare clients? Do you want your progression, growth, and reward to be a priority?

How about joining a dynamic, award-winning, and passionate team of research experts?

At HRW, we are expert market research practitioners in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, device, and diagnostics space, with a wealth of experience in a wide range of therapy areas, ranging from asthma to zoster and everything in between. We are a recognized thought leader in this industry and love to present, publish, and discuss the latest innovative developments to help us ‘access reality’—our continuous quest to get beneath the surface and truly understand people’s behavior and the decisions they make at a deeper level.

We recognize the contribution of team members of all levels and will ensure you have exposure to a wide range of research situations, methodologies, therapy areas, clients, and directors, accompanied by our fantastic training and development academy program to support your early career and ongoing progression.

As a Trainee Research Executive, you will be involved in all stages of the project cycle from research design, questionnaire and discussion guide creation, planning fieldwork and associated logistics, analyzing and interpreting final data to crafting impactful client presentations. The opportunity for travel is also contained within the role—whether that be to our different offices, to view fieldwork globally, or to attend client meetings. You will be fully supported as your experience grows in the role, and progression is at your pace—your development journey will be bespoke to you.

No Visa Sponsorship is offered with this position.

Please note that the year 1 starting salary for trainees will be £27,000.

This role is a full-time permanent position based in either our London or Wallingford, Oxfordshire office. We work on a hybrid model with at least 2 days in the office. Whilst you are training, there may be a need for more frequent days in the office or cross-office (UK) locations.

Requirements

We are looking for graduates who are passionate about their interests and their strengths, have a deep and genuine interest in healthcare, care about the work they do and the people they work with, and who want to play an active part in HRW’s progression. If you are also:

  • Inquisitive, curious, and analytical
  • Thoughtful and flexible
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent at collaboration and team working
  • Highly attentive to detail

then you’ve come to the right place, and we would love to hear from you.

Your degree could be a life sciences degree or related discipline, but any degree will be considered.

Graduate Academy development program is likely to commence 15th September 2025, although the start date can be earlier.

Teams who play together stay together, and in addition to our regular company days and our many diverse social activities, we also recognize the importance of holistic wellbeing and value perks such as:

  • 4 pm finishes on a Friday
  • Flexible working hours and home working permitted (subject to business requirements)
  • Rest time scheme to recover from travel and late working
  • Regular company off-site meetings, socials, and training days
  • Social events including breakfasts, lunches, and drinks
  • Access to a discount portal providing hundreds of discounts for popular products and services to name but a few of our benefits.
