Job summary

Gi Group in Birmingham is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our specialist Finance and Accountancy recruitment team. You will learn the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing candidates and supporting delivery of permanent and interim appointments across commerce, corporate and industry finance functions.

Under structured training, you will build candidate pipelines, screen applicants, coordinate interviews and contribute to client development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with candidates and clients.
• Motivation to develop a career in recruitment, sales, talent acquisition or a related professional services environment.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in finance, accountancy, business and the Birmingham employment market.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Resilience, self motivation and a proactive approach to achieving goals and responding to feedback.
• Comfortable working to activity and performance targets in a fast paced environment.
• Confident using digital systems and willing to learn ATS/CRM platforms, LinkedIn and other recruitment technology.
• A collaborative team player who is committed to delivering a high quality candidate and client experience.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates using CV databases, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and networking.
• Screen candidates to understand experience, motivation, salary expectations and career objectives.
• Build and maintain a high quality candidate pipeline for current and future vacancies.
• Prepare candidate profiles, CV summaries and shortlists meeting client requirements.
• Develop strong relationships with candidates with regular communication and consultative service.
• Coordinate interviews, gather feedback and support candidates and clients through to offer.
