Job summary

Aintree University Hospital is seeking a trainee assistant practitioner in radiography to join the X-ray team. The role is full-time on a 24/7 rota of long days and nights, with supported study towards an assistant practitioner foundation degree apprenticeship.

You will work under supervision to perform delegated radiographic duties and gain practical experience across sites. Applicants should have GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, plus a Level 3 health-related qualification where

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or functional skills level 2.
• Level 3 NVQ or BTEC, preferably in a health-related subject.
• Foundation degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical radiographic duties under radiographer supervision.
• Provide care as set out in the job description.
• Rotate as an assistant practitioner across sites.
• Take part in departmental planned out-of-hours working.
• Keep accurate documentation for each examination.
