Job summary

We have exciting opportunities for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Talking Therapies service for Anxiety and Depression. We are passionate about delivering high quality psychological therapy for people in our community and supporting the wellbeing and clinical development of our staff.

The post is a training role within the NHS Talking Therapies Programme. You will work within the service providing low intensity interventions at Step 2, whilst

Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate degree or evidence of previous successful study at RQF level 5 e.g. Foundation Degree, HND, Level 5 NVQ
• Experience of working with people who have suffered with a mental health problem; work experience includes voluntary or paid work
• Evidence of working in Primary Care Services

Responsibilities

• Use current skills and develop those to provide Talking Therapies assessments and low intensity CBT interventions, using guided self help with NICE stepped care
• Deliver patient care by phone, face to face and video through Attend Anywhere
• Complete accurate assessment of risk to self and others; make onward referrals or signpost as needed
• Attend University days, complete assignments, and maintain online portfolio per University requirements
• Travel to various locations throughout the county for in-person treatment
