Vita Health Group is recruiting for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the Nottinghamshire Talking Therapies service, starting March 2027. The programme combines Low Intensity CBT practice with a PGCert/Cert through the University of Lincoln, delivering evidence-based care to clients with anxiety and depression.
You will work within a motivated team, supported by supervisors, balancing clinical delivery with academic study, typically 4 days of practice and 1 day of university
Here at Vita Health Group, we support each of our trainees to become confident, patient-focused clinicians. We work with you to develop your clinical skills throughout your course, celebrating your successes and encouraging your professional development.
As we continue to develop and enhance NHS Talking Therapies across Nottinghamshire, we are seeking talented and forward-thinking clinicians to help shape our future and contribute to high-quality patient care.
We're excited to offer places for aspiring Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our Nottinghamshire Talking Therapies service as Trainee PWPs, commencing with the March 2027 cohort at the University of Lincoln.
In this role, you will provide Low Intensity CBT-based interventions whilst undertaking the PGCert/Cert Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner delivered by the University of Lincoln commencing in March 2027. This training post will equip you with the skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based treatment to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
You will be joining a motivated team of mental health professionals and experienced supervisors, who will support you to complete both your academic study and your clinical delivery.
A typical working week includes 4 days of clinical practice with the service and 1 day attending university. University days will consist of face to face training so you must be able to attend in person each week.
Whilst your clinical practice is likely to include some remote working, you will be required to attend one of the Nottingham offices for part of the week.
After completing the training and becoming a qualified PWP, there may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent post and contribute to an experienced and innovative service.
The University of Lincoln offers two levels of academic training, either Undergraduate or Postgraduate, which is based on your previous level of study. Typically, for the undergraduate route you will have studied to Level 5, however, those with Level 3 or Level 4 study may be considered. If you have studied at Level 3 or Level 4 you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work at Level 5 by completing an academic task set by the university, which will be reviewed by the Programme Team. For information regarding the levels of study, please see https://www.gov.uk/what-different-qualification-levels-mean/list-of-qualification-levels
Course teaching takes place both online and face-to-face, and attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Teaching takes place between 9.30 and 4.30, and 50% will be face-to-face at the University of Lincoln. Applicants must be able to commit to attending this.
