Job summary

Aptus Utilities Ltd. in Bolton is seeking a Trainee Project Manager in the Northwest or Yorkshire area to support Project Managers and Project Delivery Managers on a daily basis, progressing into a competent and experienced Project Manager.

As a Trainee PM, you will receive training while assisting with site coordination, pre-start meetings, material ordering, and the management of projects to meet deadlines, ensure safety, and build strong working relationships with developers and site agents.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of a portfolio of schemes within a designated geographical area.
• Assist with coordination of site activities from pre-start through to project completion.
• Attend pre-start meetings and communicate requirements to operational teams.
• Assist with pre-vetting activities for plots and mains installations.
• Build effective relationships with developers, site agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with ordering materials and coordinating resources.
• Support plant, road opening notices, and traffic management coordination.
• Monitor progress of direct labour and subcontractors on site under supervision.
• Assist with site quality inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collate track sheets and submit paperwork to asset owners.
