Job summary

Reed in Northwich is seeking a Trainee Production Supervisor to progress from the picking and packing area into line leadership. You will receive training on machinery and FLT operations while supervising a small team.

The role sits in a busy food-manufacturing environment with a 6am–3pm shift from Sunday to Friday and an additional midweek day off, offering a clear progression plan and secure, permanent employment within a family-owned business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in production operations.
• Experience in FMCG food manufacturing preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Initially focus on product packaging while training on more complex machinery and team leadership.
• Carry out basic checks such as metal detection, temperatures and hygiene.
• Undertake FLT operation training and perform safe material handling.
• Ensure work is conducted safely and support site compliance.

Trainee Production Supervisor

£12.71 Per Hour, Increasing With Training To £14 Per Hour

6am - 3pm, Sunday-Friday + Additional Day Off Midweek

Are you an experienced Production Operator that's looking to progress into a supervisory role at a tight-knit and friendly family-owned business?

This Food Manufacturing company supplies Fresh Produce to both small & large supermarkets as well as restaurant groups across the UK, operating a modern hydroponic farming environment to produce several thousand tonnes of goods annually.

In this role you will start off in the picking & packing department while undertaking training in various machinery and FLT operations before progressing into production line leadership. You'll then take responsibility for several Operators across one line before receiving the opportunity to take on additional direct reports.

The idea candidate will have 3+ years' experience in production operations - ideally in a FMCG environment such as Food Manufacturing - and will have a good work ethic along with flexibility to work additional hours when required.
