Trainee Phlebotomist – Field Based – Faringdon, Hatford, Radcot, Watchfield, Bampton, Stanford in the Vale

£27,783 per year plus Commission, Overtime, Expenses and Benefits

Responsibilities, hours and day-to-day of the role
  • You will be required to work 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. These hours can fall any time between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday and will be allocated by our resource planner three weeks in advance on a rolling basis.
  • You will be required to drive up to 2 hours to reach your venue of the day; there may also be instances where you will travel by public transport depending on the venue type.
  • We strive for high-quality clinics and you will work in many venues across your region.
  • The day typically starts with planning your route, travelling to your allocated venue, unpacking and setting up your kit, and greeting customers. You can expect to see 15 to 22 customers in a day with appointments ranging from 10 to 45 minutes per customer depending on the package chosen.
  • You will perform various health assessments based on chosen packages (e.g., PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy once qualified, Lung Function, Body Composition, and short fitness tests) and advise on further testing when appropriate. You will also update and maintain all relevant administration records.
  • You will not be required to relay any results or lifestyle advice with customers after the assessments are complete.
Requirements
  • A Full UK License and access to your own car – you’ll transport your kit to and from venues, so a standard-sized car is required, with space to store kit items at home when not working.
  • Ability to work any days between Monday to Sunday and any times between 6am and 10pm on a rota basis (6am–4pm, 8am–6pm, 1pm–10pm).
  • Must be able to use computers/laptop/phone/tablet to a satisfactory degree.
  • Clear DBS – we will process this on your behalf.
  • Ability to travel up to 2 hours from your home location to perform the role, and occasional overnight stays where required.
  • Be living within the correct distance of the regional location of the role.
  • Ability to attend our Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (staying Monday-Friday in Milton Keynes for both weeks).
  • A real willingness to learn and take on new skills.
  • Please note onboarding requires a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check (covered by us).
  • Please note: All roles at Bluecrest Wellness require a satisfactory criminal record check as part of onboarding.
