Job summary

Marstep Resourcing Solutions is seeking a Paraplanning support specialist to join a rewarding organisation. The role is office-based with home working on request, a permanent contract, and standard hours from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

No prior industry experience is required as full training will be provided. The role focuses on paraplanning support to advisers and the wider business while developing technical competence and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in Financial Services and paraplanning as a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraplanning support to the Financial adviser team on simple products, developing into more complex cases.
• Send Letters of Authorities to third party providers.
• Follow up on outstanding information with third party providers.
• Analyse policy information and prepare basic suitability letters and reports.
• Accurately recording client data and compliance.
• Communicate between client and adviser to keep both parties updated.
• Work within agreed timescales and maintain a professional image.
• Develop technical competence to meet role requirements.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.

Location: Office based primarily but home working is available on request

Hours: 5 days per week - 9am until 5pm (Monday - Friday)

Role purpose

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Paraplanning team providing paraplanning support to the Paraplanners, Advisers and wider business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing paraplanning support to the Financial adviser team across more simple products and cases with a view of developing into more complex advice areas and cases in development and learning journey
• Sending Letter of Authorities to third party providers
• Chasing outstanding information with third party providers
• Analysing of policy information
• Preparation of basic suitability letter and reports
• Accurately recording clients data and compliance
• Communication between client and adviser to ensure both parties are updated throughout the process
• Working within desired timescales for completion of tasks
• Project a professional image in both appearance and attitude and provide quality support on time to agreed standards
• Maintain up to date industry knowledge and awareness by attending training days and keeping abreast of advice and process changes internally
• Develop technical competence at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role
• Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, clients and third parties.
