Job summary

Specsavers in Cowley is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Trainee Optical Assistant to join our team. No long CVs required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, with great training and support from experienced Opticians and Technicians.

This role involves welcoming customers, booking eye tests, pre-screening patients, offering style advice, measuring frames and handling phone calls, with travel across our Cowley and Heyford Hill branches.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused approach are valued.
• Full training and development across Specsavers’ business areas are provided.
• Willingness to travel between Cowley and Heyford Hill branches.

Please note that this opportunity will include regular travel across our Cowley and Heyford Hill branches.

What’s on offer?

• 40 hours per week including x1 weekend
• Hourly rate of £12.91 per hour
