Job summary

Close Resource Management Ltd. is seeking a technically minded Trainee / Assistant Operations Manager to join our team near Barnsley. The role offers exposure to warehouse, stock control, purchasing, service operations and health & safety, with progression into an operations management position.

Working closely with experienced managers, you will take ownership of operational activities and projects as your knowledge develops, and build strong cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be technically minded with practical engineering experience.
• Candidate should be a technical graduate or have technical higher education.
• Willingness to learn and progress into management.
• Experience in warehousing/logistics or operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to warehouse, stock control, purchasing, service operations, dispatch, quality, health and safety.
• Work closely with experienced managers and progressively own operations activities.
