A leading NDT service provider in Stansted Mountfitchet is seeking a Trainee NDT Inspector to join their team. This role offers an immersive learning environment focused on Non-Destructive Testing methods. Overview

Our sister company, Morgan Ward NDT Ltd, has fast become one of the world's most renowned providers of Non-Destructive Testing services to the aerospace and general engineering sectors. Enjoying the success of exponential growth, and having already successfully recruited multiple trainees across the company's sites in the UK and Europe in 2025, Morgan Ward NDT Ltd is searching for a Trainee NDT Inspector to build on its established team in Stansted, Essex.

Responsibilities

You'll undertake training in multiple methods within the field of NDT, with a hands-on approach throughout your OJT (on the job training) and active involvement in learning inspection techniques within an MRO environment.

Qualifications
  • Ideally have worked in the aviation sector / Part 145 organisation in any capacity OR
  • Have finished college / uni with aerospace engineering related qualifications
  • Interested in achieving at least 3 NDT Level 2's in an on-wing environment
  • Keen and ambitious
  • Able to follow instructions and work closely with others
  • A thirst for travel and happy to work away
  • Willing to work unsociable hours, including nights and weekends
  • Full driver's licence

The position attracts circa £32kOTE, which includes a basic hourly rate (based on 40 hours p/week), overtime, and a discretionary annual bonus, and you can expect incremental pay increases throughout your training, too; the company also offers BUPA, 5% matched pension contribution, and other enhanced benefits. Once fully qualified with relevant experience, you can expect your earning potential to be in the region of £55k-£60k.
