Job Title

Trainee Mobile Maintenance Technician

Location & Travel

Birmingham – daily travel up to 2hrs radius from home.

Compensation

£23,700 per year + OT (up to £10,000 additional).

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, normally 8am – 4pm (earliest start 5am, may finish later).

We are a facilities and maintenance company with a 35+ year history specialising in the maintenance and cleaning of IT, technical hardware and data centres.

Job Overview

• No two days are the same – a mobile role on the road, driving to various appointments.
• 28‑day rota provided, scheduled to visit 6–12 sites per day.
• Roles encompass IT Hardware Auditing, PC Cleaning, Data Centre Cleaning, and servicing delivery lockers.
• 50% of the role is hands‑on maintaining and cleaning technical rooms and computer hardware.
• Liaise with clients on hazards, complete reports on tablets.
• Write up reports notifying work done, hazards found and Health & Safety requirements.

Training & Working Style

Full training is provided. Work remotely on a schedule visiting various companies locally; often work independently, driving to appointments in the company van and stocking the van once a month.

Security & Background Checks

Official UK Government Security Classification check required. Full employment and residential history of 5 years must be available, plus a DBS check.
