Role

• Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Service Technician (Field Based)
• Location: London/SE patch – ideally based in the Ealing (W5/W13) area.
• Salary & Benefits: £28,000 - £32,000 + van + apprenticeship standard training + overtime + private health + 24 days leave.
• Working Hours: Mon‑Fri 8:00‑4:30 with some Saturday work roughly once a month and occasional early‑start/night work (paid at 1.5x).
• Schedule & Travel: Overtime and paid travel are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform 70% maintenance on fall protection equipment.
• Carry out 20–30% installations and fault‑finding.
• Work on the field to repair and install fall protection equipment in and around London.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and apprenticeship courses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hands‑on mechanical engineering background, including operating power tools.
• Willingness to work a field‑based service role in West London, ideally in the Ealing area.
• Full UK driver’s licence – essential.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Schedule

Mon‑Fri 8:00‑4:30 with some Saturday and night work; Saturday and night work is paid at 1.5x.
