Job summary

Wills Consultants Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a Trainee Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated warehouse equipment. You will work within the Resident Maintenance Team to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

Job Title: Trainee Maintenance Technician

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Ref. No: 1061

Salary: £28,414 per annum

Shifts: 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 6 days off (inclusive of holiday allowance)

About the Role

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities on automated equipment and systems.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in accordance with legislation, site risk assessments, and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively as part of the Resident Maintenance Team to achieve operational targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Qualification within Mechanical or Electrical engineering (advantageous but not essential).
• Previous experience within a maintenance or automated warehouse environment (advantageous but not essential).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Physical Demands & Working Environment

• Working within a busy automated warehouse environment.
• Working at heights of up to 30 metres may be required.
• Ability to work shifts as part of a rotating shift pattern.
