Job summary

A manufacturing recruitment agency is seeking a Trainee Maintenance Engineer in Brierley Hill. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical maintenance experience and a desire to grow in the role. Responsibilities include preventative and reactive maintenance of machinery, liaising with management and suppliers, and assisting with factory improvements. Competitive hours and regular overtime available.

Qualifications

  • Some experience with mechanical maintenance is required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced engineering manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative planned maintenance of plant and machinery.
  • Handle reactive maintenance tasks on site.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance throughout the site.
  • Implement factory improvements.
  • Liaise with management and production supervisors.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding plant and machinery.
  • Assist in factory equipment installations and fittings.

Skills

Mechanical maintenance experience

Overview

Evolve Personnel are currently recruiting a Trainee Maintenance Engineer for our manufacturing client in the Stourbridge area.

This role would be ideal for someone who has mechanical experience and is looking to gain more hands on experience and progress within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Preventative Planned Maintenance of Plant, Machinery & associated equipment
  • Reactive Maintenance across the site
  • Facilities Maintenance across the site
  • Implementing Factory Improvements
  • Liaising with Management and Production Supervisors
  • Liaising with Suppliers (Plant & Machinery)
  • Factory equipment installations and fitting
Experience required
  • Some experience with mechanical maintenance
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced engineering manufacturing environment
  • Some knowledge of hydraulic machinery
  • FLT/Crane Licence preferred but not essential
Hours

Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm / Friday: 4:00pm Finish

(Regular overtime available)
