Job summary

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client based in Erith, they are seeking Trainee Machine Operators to strengthen their production team.

Working on a busy production line you will receive in depth training to operate their machinery over your first few weeks, our ideal candidate needs to have some experience operating machinery in a similar environment, be a quick learner and keen to progress.

Primary / Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and ensure that the machine is running at optimum level.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Identify and react to production problems (materials shortages, out of spec materials, quality issues, etc.)
  • Perform quality checks to monitor physical characteristics of product and take corrective action as needed.
  • Perform setups and changeovers as needed.
  • Report on production information including down-time and other
  • Completing production paperwork accurately
  • Comply with direction from supervisors and managers.
  • Monitor equipment, perform resets, replenish, and troubleshoot assigned area of the line as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist with machine clean-ups as required.
Experience / Skills Required

Hours
  • A rotating Monday to Friday shift is worked;
  • Week one – Mon-Thursday 6am – 2.15pm, Fridays 6am-1.30pm
  • Week two - Mon-Thursday 2pm – 10.15pm, Fridays 12.30pm-8.00pm
