Job summary

Grain LNG, based at Isle of Grain, Rochester, seeks a Trainee Business Development & Commercial Operations Associate to support the terminal services and capacity opportunities. You’ll help shape proposals, maintain CRM records, and assist in pricing and contracts while engaging with commercial and operations teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning across CRM, reporting, and commercial processes, with exposure to multiple energy sectors including Carbon Capture and Power.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Management, or a related subject.
• Placement/internship experience in sales, account management, commercial operations, marketing, or a customer-facing environment.
• Exposure to CRM tools (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot) and/or proposal or bid processes.
• Power BI (or similar) and confidence working with data to build dashboards and performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the opportunity pipeline for terminal services/capacity and progress opportunities through stages.
• Maintain CRM data quality to support reporting and forecasting.
• Coordinate proposals and tender submissions and ensure clarity and timeliness.
• Assist with pricing, deal support, and trackers for terminal services.
• Support handovers from deal to delivery by organizing documentation and key dates.
