HGV Technician (Trainee)

Nelson

Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm & Saturdays when required (8am - 12pm)

£35k-£36k (DOE)

Rapid Recruit are currently looking for Trainee HGV Technician's on behalf of our client in Nelson who are expanding their team. This role is working in a fully equipped five-bay workshop and is an opportunity to work with a leading dealership.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of HGVs and vans to the highest standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT tests and achieve a 100% pass rate.
• Attend breakdowns and provide roadside repairs (on a rota basis).
• Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Ensure health and safety and company policies are followed.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field.
• Previous experience working as a vehicle technician, ideally within a dealership or similar environment.
• Availability to participate in a call-out rota for roadside repairs.
