A leading healthcare organization is looking for individuals to join their Healthcare Support Worker Development programme in Exeter. This 6-month paid placement will provide comprehensive training and the opportunity to achieve the Care Certificate. You’ll be expected to support patients with daily activities, monitor their health, and work alongside healthcare professionals. Basic English and Maths skills are required. Begin your NHS career with ourHealthcare Support Worker Development (HCSWD) programme in Mental Health, where you will receiveall the training, support, and supervision you need to become a HealthcareSupportWorker (HCSW).
We have a unique opportunity to learn on the job at Franklin Hospital or Wonford Hospital Trust, Exeter. You will join a 6-month paid supervised placement programme.
Work towards your Care Certificatewhilst receiving weekly pay, paid annual leave and all the other great benefitsNHS Professionals offers our bank members. Once you have successfully completedthe programme you will be able to work flexibly at any of our partner Trusts.
Pay Rates:
During your placement, youll work towards achieving the widely recognised Care Certificate with the training you need to become a Healthcare Support Worker(HCSW). Also known as Healthcare Assistant (HCA). Throughout, youll have supportive supervision from your mentor/Ward Manager.

After theprogramme
Once youhave completed your placement and the Care Certificate 15 Standards, you canwork as a HCSW or HCA for the Trust at any of their locations, and at any ofour NHS Professionals partner Trusts, through the bank.
As yourfirst step in healthcare with the NHS, this could provide you with theopportunity to progress your career by accessing further training outside ofthe programme. In time, you could become a Senior Healthcare Assistant. Afterthat, you could then apply to train as an Assistant Practitioner or NursingAssociate, enabling further career avenues such as a Nurse, Podiatrist orMidwife.
