Qualifications

  • Some hand sewer experience in a similar garment manufacturing role would be highly desirable.
  • Potential hand sewing ability and knowledge of sewing techniques and garment construction.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Patient and considerate of those around you.

Responsibilities

  • Work on garments and/or bundles in accordance with instructions.
  • Handsew neck trims and pocket tops onto garments.
  • Work on garments and attach accessories as instructed.
  • Handsew specific elements of garments to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Commit fully to the training process and work well with our onsite trainer.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety requirements are understood and adhered to.
